Amazing Andhra Pradesh is a fascinating blend of antiquity and modernity. This land of the great rivers of Krishna and Godavari has a rich cultural heritage of literature, art, music, dance and drama. The State was partitioned on 2nd June 2014 to create the new state of Telangana and now comprises of two regions namely, Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, which are collectively called as Seemandhra. Coastal Andhra extends for over 972 km, making it the State with second longest coastline after Gujarat and is dotted with some of the finest beaches. Andhra Pradesh is the leading agricultural State of India and is the largest producer of rice. It is also endowed with rich mineral deposits and has a dynamic industrial economy.

Having an effective road set-up of over 1,46,000 kms, Andhra Pradesh is quite well connected with the rest of India. Out of 2,948 kms long National Highways, NH-5, which is also a part of Golden Quadrilateral Project, is a significant one connecting Srikakulam to Nellore. Other important connectors are NH-7 which passes through Hyderabad & Guntakal, NH-9 connecting Hyderabad & Machilipatnam via Suryapet and Vijayawada, NH-63 covering Guntakal & Gooty, NH-43 going through Vizianagaram District, NH-18 connecting Kurnool and Chitoor and NH-16 connecting Mortad and Chinoor via Adilabad District.

Rail: Enriched with a 5,046 km long railway network, Andhra Pradesh has the world's highest broad gauge rail track comprising of the eastern ghats route that run from Visakhapatnam to Anantagiri. Chittoor, Hyderabad Deccan, Nalgonda, Naupada Junction, Nizamabad, Nellore, Renigunta Junction, Secunderabad Junction, Tirupati, Vijayawada Junction and Warangal are some of the important railway stations in Andhra Pradesh.
Air: Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam Airport are the most important airports in Andhra Pradesh. Other important Airports are Rajamundry Airport, Tirupati Airport and Vijaywada Airport.
